Prayer to Trust God for Mate Who Loves Jesus:
Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.“
Dear God,
I have enjoyed my life fellowshipping with other singles, but I am ready for a life-long relationship in marriage. I come before you today with a humble and open heart, trusting in your love and grace. I pray for a mate who will be a partner and companion to me and who will share in the joys and challenges of life.
I pray for a kind, compassionate, and understanding mate who will support and encourage me in all that I do. I pray for a mate who is faithful and loyal and who will be a rock for me to lean on in times of need.

I pray for a fun, adventurous mate who will share my passions and interests. I pray for a patient, a forgiving mate who will always seek to understand and respect me.
Above all, I pray for a mate who loves you and seeks to follow Jesus with all his/her heart, mind, and soul. I trust in your wisdom and guidance and know you have a plan for my life. Help me to be open and receptive to the person you have for me and to trust in your timing and direction.
Father, I seek you first. Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” I am preparing myself for the spouse you have for me. While I wait, I will continue to seek you, letting you mold me on the Potter’s wheel. I am confident you will supply my mate when you feel I am ready.
Thank you for your love and care and for the many blessings you have given me. I pray all these things in your holy name. Amen.
Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”
Prayer for Wisdom to Know What to Look for in a Potential Partner:
Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”
Heavenly Father, I come to you today with a humble heart, seeking your guidance and blessings in my search for a mate. Lord, I know you have a plan for my life and are the author of love and relationships. I trust in your timing and that you will bring the right person into my life at the right time.
I pray that you will give me the wisdom to know what to look for in a potential partner and the discernment to recognize the right person when he/she comes into my life. I pray that you will surround me with loving and supportive friends and family who will encourage me to find love.

Lord, I know I am complete without a partner by my side. You have been my spouse as I have waited. Now I ask that you bring someone into my life who will love, support, and encourage me. Someone who will complement me and help me be my best version. I pray that you will give us a strong foundation of love, trust, faith, and respect to sustain us through the good and bad times.
I pray that You will give us the strength to overcome any challenges that may come our way and that You will bless our relationship with Your love and grace. I pray that you will allow us to communicate effectively, listen to one another, compromise, and forgive one another. I trust the Holy Spirit will dwell between us, leading us to a deeper relationship that honors You.
Lord, I pray that You would bless our relationship with children and give us the ability to raise them in a loving, Christian home.
I thank you for the love and blessings you have already given me, and I trust in your promise that you will never leave or forsake me. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
Genesis 2:18 “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
Philippians 4:8 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Prayer for My Future Wife:
Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”
Dear Lord,
You know the desires of my heart. I stand on Your Word to go to you with all my needs and wants. I trust you will lead me in finding a wife. As I pray for my future wife, I ask that you guide me in finding the right person to spend the rest of my life with. I pray she may have a kind, loving heart and be a faithful and devoted partner to Jesus and me.

I pray that wherever she is right now, she is being mentored by a godly woman. May she have Christian couples who are showing her what a Christian marriage looks like. Please bless her with good health, happiness, and a peaceful spirit. Help her to grow in her faith and to trust in you for all things. May she be filled with joy and peace, and may her life be filled with your love and grace.
Genesis 2:18 “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
As we embark on this journey together, I pray that we may always put you first in our lives and that our love for each other may grow stronger with each passing day. Please bless our union, and help us always communicate openly, respect each other’s differences, and work through any challenges that may arise.
Lord, as I wait, continue to grow me into the man who will be the husband you want me to be. Deepen my knowledge and obedience to Your Word. You have given clear direction on a husband’s role in marriage. I commit to writing that on my heart. I want to be the spiritual leader in the family, covering them in daily prayer. Prepare me for the most important role a husband has. Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…”
Thank you for your love and grace and the gift of a life partner. I pray these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Proverbs 31:10 “An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.”
Prayer for My Future Husband:
Ephesians 5:22-33 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, …”
Dear Lord,
I come to you today to prepare my heart to enter into marriage. As I pray for my future husband, I ask that you guide me in finding the right person to spend the rest of my life with. I pray that he may be a man of integrity, honesty, and compassion and that he may be a loving and devoted partner to Jesus and me.
Lord, I seek a man who is filled with the Holy Spirit who guides him daily. I pray he possesses the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

I pray godly, Christian men are mentoring my future husband. May he have access to observing a Christian marriage. As we both enter our marriage, we will have a wealth of teachings that we can practice.
As we embark on this journey together, I pray that we may always put you first in our lives and that our love for each other may grow stronger with each passing day. Please bless our union, and help us always communicate openly, respect each other’s differences, and work through any challenges that may arise. When the firey darts of Satan arise, give us the wisdom to recognize his attack and fight for our marriage. Lord, your word tells us Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I bind all attacks right now. He will have no power over our marriage.
Lord, continue to prepare me to be the biblical wife you have outlined in Your Word. I am devoted to studying your Word, which is deeply planted in my heart.
Thank you for your love and grace and the gift of a life partner. I pray these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ephesians 5:22 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”
Prayer for Patience as I Wait for a Mate:
Romans 8:25 “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”
Faithful Father
You know the desire of my heart is to find a man/woman who loves you. I pray that you will move me out of the way so that you can work things out in my life. You know I tend to be impatient at times. I want to be 100% in your will for this life-changing event. I come to you asking for your guidance and strength as I wait for you to show me the perfect mate. It can be difficult to be patient and trust in your perfect timing, but I know that you have a plan for my life and will bring the right person into my life at the right time.

As I wait, Lord, prepare my heart for what you have for me. I commit to studying scripture to learn more and more about what it means to be a fully devoted spouse to the gift you have for me. I commit to allowing you to continue molding me into the person fully devoted to you and my spouse.
Isaiah 64:8 “But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
Help me to be patient and to trust in your perfect timing. Help me use this waiting time to grow closer to you and become the person you want me to be. As I wait, I believe you are preparing his/her heart for me. I believe you are the Waymaker and the God who delivers perfection.

Fill me with your peace and joy as I wait, and help me remember that you are always with me, even when I feel most alone. I trust in your love and wisdom and know you will bring the perfect person into my life when the time is right.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Prayer to Be Emotionally Healed From Past Relationships:
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Dear Lord,
As I patiently wait for the spouse you have planned for me, I want to use this season of my life to become more emotionally mature. You know I have experienced failed relationships that have created some deep wounds. I praise you in that person wasn’t the one you had for me. I come before you today to ask for emotional healing from the pain and hurt of those relationships. I have been wounded and broken by the actions and words of others, and I am struggling to find peace and joy in my life. I realize I won’t be ready for your gift until these wounds are healed.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Help me release the pain and hurt I am carrying and forgive those who have hurt me. Give me the strength to let go of any bitterness, anger, or resentment I may be holding onto.
Please heal my heart and emotions, and fill me with your love and grace through the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to see myself as you see me and to know that I am worthy of love and respect. Embed in my heart I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Guide me as I move forward in my life, and give me the wisdom to make healthy choices in relationships. May I learn from past mistakes and be open to the opportunities you have for me in the future. Also, prepare me emotionally to give of myself wholly to the spouse you have chosen for me. I have faith that my future is bright.
I thank you for your unfailing love and grace and trust in your promise to heal and restore me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

Prayer to Stay Pure as I Wait for My Spouse:
Romans 13:14 “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”
Dear Lord,
It seems at every turn in our culture, there is some temptation that doesn’t honor your principles. I come before you today with a humble, contrite heart, asking for your guidance and protection as I wait for my future spouse. I pray that you will give me the strength to remain pure in mind, body, and spirit during this season of waiting.
Help me resist any temptation that may come my way and keep my eyes fixed on you, knowing you have a perfect plan for my life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, and grant me the wisdom and discernment to make wise choices that honor you. Lord, I want to honor you as I focus on my body being the temple of the Holy Spirit. I will guard my mind from temptations that can cause discouragement or sin. I will guard my heart against settling for a relationship that isn’t in your plan. I will guard my body to remain sexually pure for my future spouse.
Ephesians 5:3 “But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.”
Lord, I pray that you will prepare my heart and the heart of my future spouse for the day when we meet. I believe that the spouse you have for me has made this commitment, also. I trust that you will bring the right person into my life at the right time and that together we will be able to serve you and bring glory to your name. Until then, I pray that you would help me to live each day in a way that brings honor to you and that I would find my joy and fulfillment in you alone.
Thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness and for our hope in Christ. May your peace and presence always be with me as I wait for your chosen one.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
2 Timothy 2:22 “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”
