Prayer to Put on the Full Armor of God:
James 4:8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you“
Lord, as I prepare to attend a retreat, I come to you to prepare me both mentally, spiritually, and physically. I am excited for this time of aloneness with you. It’s with great anticipation that I know you will make it a life-changing time together.
Ephesians 6:13 tells us to put on the full armor of God. Father, I help me armor up. Guard my heart against the attacks of Satan. I know he will do all he can to keep me from attending or harming me while at the retreat. Also guard my mind while there, keeping it from wandering to the concerns of the world. I realize there will be challenges as I take a break from my everyday life of work and family. Give me peace that those areas will be carefully attended to while I am at the retreat. I put my faith in you to keep my family safe while I’m away. I pray for peace in those areas so that I have time to spend time with you and grow in your Word.
Lord, also protect me physically while at the retreat. Give me peaceful sleep and alertness at the right times. Guard against any sickness that may enter the gathering.
Thank you for what you have planned for me. I am fully surrendering to you as you continue to mold me into a vessel filled with your love and purpose. Make me a life-changer when I leave the retreat. Give me words to say and people to reach for I know the fields are ripe for harvest. Make my light shine to a spiritually starving world. I surrender all to you in preparation for the retreat.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Romans 13:25 “. . . be transformed by the renewing of your mind . . .”

Prayer to Clear My Mind While at the Retreat
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Heavenly Father, my life has been so busy. I am ready for the focused time at the retreat. I need your help to settle my mind so that I can stay focused to hear from you.
As I prepare to attend this retreat, I ask that you would give me a clear mind and an open heart. I ask that you would help me to let go of the distractions and worries of my daily life, and to focus on you.

I pray that you would remove any barriers that are preventing me from hearing your voice and receiving your guidance. Help me to quiet my mind and to be still before you, so that I may hear your word and receive your wisdom.
I ask that you would fill me with your peace and your presence. Help me to find rest and rejuvenation during this retreat, so that I may return home refreshed and renewed in spirit.
I also pray for your guidance and wisdom as I participate in the activities, and that your Word would be spoken into my heart and my mind. I trust in your love and your provision for me during this time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
