Prayers for World Leaders

Prayer for Integrity and Justice in Leaders:

Psalms 2:10-11 “Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.”

Heavenly Father,

We come before you today with a heart of prayer for our world leaders. We ask that you would give them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions that affect the lives of so many people.

We pray that you would give them a heart for justice and righteousness, and that they would seek to bring peace and prosperity to the nations they lead. Job 12:23-25 “He makes nations great, and destroys them; he enlarges nations, and disperses them.”

We pray that you would give them the strength and courage to stand firm in their convictions and to lead with integrity.

Lord, we know that the weight of leadership can be heavy, and we ask that you would give our world leaders rest and refreshment when they are weary.

We pray that you would protect them and their families from harm, and that you would give them the grace to face the challenges that come with their roles. For any leader who doesn’t have their citizens’ safety in mind, please remove that leader. Put those in leadership who want justice, peace, and prosperity for their citizens and nation.

Lord, we ask that you would use our world leaders to bring about positive change in the world, and that they would be a source of hope and encouragement to those around them.

We trust in your goodness and faithfulness, and we know that you are sovereign over all things. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Proverbs 11:14 “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.”
