Prayer Hiring the Right Church Staff:
Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
Dear Lord, As our church grows and expands, we pray for wisdom and guidance as we search for new leaders and staff members. We ask that you guide us in finding individuals who are not only qualified for the job, but who also align with the values and mission of our church.
Help us to have discernment as we interview and evaluate potential candidates. May we be able to see beyond their resumes and into their hearts, to understand their motivations and passions.
We pray that the individuals we hire will be not only good employees but also good examples of your love and grace to our community. We trust in your provision and guidance, and pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
It is important to remember that the decision of hiring someone is not only about their qualifications and experience but also about their character and alignment with the mission and values of the church. Praying for guidance, wisdom and discernment is a way to seek God’s will in this process.
Phillippians 1:6: “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Prayer for the Church Staff’s Wisdom and Guidance:
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our church staff and ask for your continued guidance and protection over them. We thank you for the hard work and dedication of each individual who serves on the staff, and for their willingness to use their gifts and talents to serve your people.
We pray that you would bless each member of the staff with your love, grace, and wisdom. Help them to feel your presence with them always, and to trust in your guidance as they go about their daily tasks. May all their work be to further the Kingdom. I pray they develop “programs” that are focused on the Word and not programs that are entertaining. Acts 4:29: Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

We ask that you would give them strength and energy to carry out their duties with excellence and joy, and that you would provide for all of their needs, both physical and spiritual.
We pray that you would bless the work of our church staff, and that you would use them to help your people grow in faith, hope, and love.
And finally, we pray that you would bless the entire church community, and that we would all work together to serve you and to bring your love and light to a world in need.
In your holy and mighty name we pray, Amen.
1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
Prayer for the Vision and Direction of Our Church Staff:
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Gracious Father,
I praise you for the leadership in my church. They are such powerful men and women of God. Their strong leadership is resulting in church growth, and they have any decisions to make to to continue this growth. Today I lift up the church staff to you. Grant them clarity and divine guidance as they seek your will and purpose for our church. May they have a clear vision that aligns with your heart and a deep understanding of the steps needed to fulfill it.
Lord, I ask for wisdom and discernment for our staff members. Lead them in making decisions that honor you and further your kingdom of Jesus Christ. Give them insight into the needs of our congregation and community, and grant them creative ideas and strategies to effectively minister to those in their care.
Lord, I pray for protection against distractions and opposition that may arise. Shield our staff from discouragement, doubt, and spiritual attacks. Strengthen their resolve to press on in faith, even in the face of challenges, knowing that you are with them. I bind the works of Satan as he would attempt to cause confusion among the staff.
Above all, Father, I pray that your Holy Spirit would guide and empower our church staff. Fill them with a deep sense of your presence, anointing, and passion for ministry. May they rely on your strength and wisdom, and may their lives and leadership be a reflection of your grace and love.
Thank you, Lord, for the dedicated men and women who serve on our church staff. Use them mightily to fulfill your purposes and bring glory to your name. May the vision and direction of our church be aligned with your will, and may we see your kingdom advance through their faithful leadership.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.

Prayer for the Personal and Family Life of Our Church Staff:
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
Faithful Father,
I praise you for the dedicated church staff you have given our church. They are such godly men and women who have a deep desire to lead people to salvation through Jesus Christ. I realize their work is very time consuming and taxing on them and their family. Because of that, I have on my heart to lift up the personal and family lives of our each of the staff members. You have called them to serve your people, and I pray for your blessing, protection, and guidance in their personal and family relationships.
Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.”
Lord, I ask for your grace and wisdom to be upon each staff member as they navigate the demands of ministry and their personal lives. Help them find a healthy balance between their roles and responsibilities, and their time spent with loved ones. Grant them the discernment to prioritize their relationships and nurture their own well-being.
Father, I pray for strong and loving relationships within the families of our church staff. May their marriages be filled with love, respect, and unity. Strengthen the bonds between parents and children, and help them create a home environment that fosters faith, love, and mutual support.
Lord, I ask for protection over the marriages and families of our staff. Shield them from conflicts, discord, and any attacks from the enemy that seek to divide and disrupt their households. Help them to communicate with love, to show grace and forgiveness, and to support one another in their individual journeys. I bind any attack of Satan as he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Lord, I realize one of his first attacks is those who are advancing the kingdom of God. I pray you put a strong hedge of protection around each staff member and his/her family.
John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
Finally, Father, I pray for your provision and guidance in the personal needs of our staff members and their families. Meet their financial, health, and emotional needs according to your abundant riches. Give them wisdom in making decisions, and provide for them in miraculous ways that bring glory to your name.
Thank you, Lord, for the dedication and sacrifice of our church staff. Bless their personal and family lives abundantly, and may their relationships reflect your love and grace. May their homes be places of refuge and joy, and may their families be a testimony of your faithfulness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Prayer for a Fresh Anointing on Our Church Staff:
1 John 2:27 “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.”
Lord of All,
Your Word commands us to look for the signs of the return of Jesus. The signs are all around us. Prepare us, oh Lord. Today I come before you to pray for a fresh anointing on our church staff. They have faithfully served your people, and I ask that you pour out a renewed measure of your Holy Spirit upon them.

Awaken in them a deep hunger for your presence and a burning desire to serve you and your people. Fill them afresh with the power of your Spirit, empowering them for the tasks at hand. Let your Spirit speak through them, bringing forth words of truth, encouragement, and conviction. I pray for an anointing of love and compassion. Fill our staff members with your heart for the lost, the broken, and the hurting. Enable them to minister with genuine care and empathy, reflecting your love to all they encounter.
Lord, I also pray for an anointing of unity among our staff. Help them to work together as a unified team, appreciating and valuing one another’s gifts and contributions. May their collective efforts be marked by cooperation, respect, and harmony.
Finally, Father, I pray for an anointing of spiritual breakthroughs. Break through any barriers or obstacles that may hinder the advancement of your kingdom through our staff members. Release your power to bring healing, deliverance, and transformation in the lives of those they minister to.
Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and the anointing you have already placed upon our church staff. I pray that you would refresh, revive, and renew them with a fresh outpouring of your Spirit. May they walk in your anointing, fulfilling their calling to impact lives for your glory.

Prayer Our Church Staff is a Shining Example of the Joy of the Lord:

Lord, I realize the church members are human and are susceptible to growing weary in their work. I pray that you would guard their hearts against discouragement, weariness, and negativity. Shield them from the pressures and challenges of ministry that can steal their joy. Fill them with your peace and strength, enabling them to rise above any circumstances and maintain a joyful spirit. I pray they are given time away from their job so that they can be still and refuel through the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 16:22 “So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”

May they find their ultimate source of joy in you, overflowing with gratitude and awe for all that you are.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of joy. I pray that our church staff would radiate your joy and be a shining example of your love and grace. May their lives be a testimony to the joy that comes from knowing and serving you.

Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”
Finally, Father, I pray that you would grant our church staff members peace and contentment in their financial circumstances. Help them to trust in your provision and to find joy in knowing that you are their provider. Strengthen their faith and enable them to rest in the assurance that you will never leave them nor forsake them.
