Prayer for the World’s Oppressed:
Ecclesiastes 3:17 “I said to myself, ‘God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.‘”
Heavenly Father,
We come before you today with heavy hearts, as we see so much injustice and suffering in the world. We pray that you would bring your justice and righteousness to bear in every situation, and that you would work to bring about true and lasting change.
We pray for those who have been oppressed and marginalized, and we ask that you would give them the strength and courage to stand firm and to fight for their rights.
We pray for those in positions of power and authority, and we ask that you would give them a heart for justice and a desire to bring about change.
We pray that you would use your church to be a beacon of hope and a source of support for those who are suffering.
Lord, we know that you are a God of justice and righteousness, and we trust in your faithfulness to bring about change in the world. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Psalms 37:27-29 “Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed ; the offspring of the wicked will perish. The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.”
