Prayer for the World’s Oppressed:
Ecclesiastes 3:17 “I said to myself, ‘God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.‘”
We come before you today with heavy hearts as we see so much injustice and suffering in the world. We pray that you will bring your justice and righteousness to bear in every situation and work to bring about true and lasting change.
We pray for those who have been oppressed and marginalized, and we ask that you give them the strength and courage to stand firm and fight for their rights.
We pray for those in positions of power and authority and ask that you give them a heart for justice and a desire to bring about change.
We pray you will use your church as a beacon of hope and support for those suffering.
Lord, we know you are a God of justice and righteousness, and we trust your faithfulness to change the world. We pray all this in the name of Jesus, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Psalms 37:27-29 “Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed ; the offspring of thee wicked will perish. The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.”
