Prayer of the Golden Rule in My Family:
1 Corinthians 1:10 “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”
Heavenly Father
I come to you today asking for your guidance and wisdom in all of my relationships. Help me to remember the value and worth of each person I encounter, and to treat them with the same love and respect that I would want for myself. Luke 6:31 31 “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Give me the strength to overcome any bitterness or resentment that may arise in our relationships, and to instead choose forgiveness and understanding. Help me to be patient and kind to others, and to always strive for peace and harmony in my interactions.
Grant me the wisdom to communicate effectively with those around me, and to listen with an open heart and mind. Help me to be understanding and compassionate, and to always seek to build others up, rather than tearing others down. Ephesians 4:29 “Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”
May I strive to maintain healthy, godly relationships with all those around me, and to be a shining example of your love and grace in the world.
I pray all of this in your holy name, Amen.
Prayer to Honor Family Members:
Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”
Loving Father,
You tell us in your word that Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I see his work in my family and families across the nation. Today I come to you with gratitude for my family. My prayer is that all family members, both immediate and extended families) honor each other, treating each other with the respect, esteem, and recognition you have commanded us in your work. Satan knows the family is the core of the church so he is ravaging the world with the destruction of the family unit and the church. I speak Jesus over families worldwide.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Lord, I begin by praying for the children and youth in my family. Please surround them with a hedge of protection against the pulling of the world. Guard their hearts, keeping them focused on your word and plans. May the parents of the children in the family be raised according to your scripture, training them in the way they should go. May each child be guided by the Holy Spirit to love and honor you and their parents. Deuteronomy 5:16 “‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Ephesians 6:1-4 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Father, I lift up the parents of the children. Guide them as they train up their children in your word. May the parents be the example of Christ in the home. Let their words be filled with honey on their lips, not provoking the children or misleading them in any way. Ephesians 6:4 “Fathers [and mothers], do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
May the adults in the family humbly treat each other with honor and show unconditional love. May they show compassion, patience, and understanding at all times, lifting up one another when times get trying. I pray the older generation rises up to lead and mentor the younger adults as they pass the torch of believers from generation to generation. May the younger generation value the life experiences of the older generation. Leviticus 19:32 “You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.

Please bless my family members with good health, happiness, and success in all their endeavors. May they continue to thrive in their personal and professional lives and find fulfillment in everything they do.
I pray that our family bond remains strong and that we continue to support and uplift each other through all of life’s ups and downs. May we cherish the time we have together and create lasting memories that we can look back on with fondness.
Thank you for the gift of family, and I ask for your continued blessings upon us.
Amen.
Proverbs 29:23 One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Prayer for Love and Support in My Family:
1 Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
Dear Lord, I need my family to support me in this time. Even if they don’t understand and agree with my decisions, I humbly seek their support. I pray for healthy, godly relationships within my family. Help us to love one another, and to communicate with respect and understanding.
Sometimes we don’t hear each other out. Please show us how to stop and listen to each other’s viewpoints. I know this will help us make great strides with empathy and support. May we be quick to forgive and slow to anger, and always seek to uplift and encourage one another. James 1:9 “This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger”
I pray that we would put you at the center of our family, and that our relationships would reflect your love and grace. May we draw closer to you and to one another, and experience the deep joy and fulfillment that comes from being a part of a loving, united family.
Please give us the strength and wisdom to navigate any challenges or conflicts that may come our way, and to always choose love and reconciliation.
Amen.
1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Prayer for Family Members to Pray for Each Other:
1 Corinthians 1:10 “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”
Faithful Father
I praise you for the gift of prayer. Lord, today I simply ask that you prompt all family members to honor and prayer for each other. Every day we each go in separate directions. I pray that even though we are separated by distance or life activities, we don’t forget to lift each other up in prayer.

Lord, before the day begins, I ask that you clothe each family member in the full armor of God so they are ready for what the world sends them. May they carry the sword of the spirit to defeat the evil around them. Pray that each family member stops during the day to remember to lift other family members up in prayer. Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
I pray each family member prays to bring down strongholds on the family as a whole or members. Lord, fill everyone with the power of the Holy Spirit to bring down any attack. I am standing on your word as we all pray for one another.
I ask in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
Ephesians 6:18 “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints…”
Prayer for Strong Marriages in My Family:
Genesis 2:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
Faithful Father
I praise you for the strong marriages in my family and in my extended family. I don’t ever want to take that for granted. I realize all have worked hard to build solid relationships and honor the covenant they made before you. I come to you today to ask for your blessings upon these marriages in my family. I pray that you will continue to help us to maintain a strong and loving relationship that will stand the test of time.
Lord, I pray that marriages in my family and beyond are able to withstand the cultural wars going on. There is an attack on Christians and families. I lift up the husbands and wives in the family, guarding their hearts against the spiritual attacks coming against them. I ask that the husbands love their wives as Christ loved. I pray wives submit as an equal to their husbands, honoring them as the spiritual leader in the home.
Ephesians 5:22-33 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, …”
Please help each to communicate with one another openly and honestly, and to always speak words of love and encouragement. May each be patient and understanding with one another, and may they always be willing to forgive and seek forgiveness when they have wronged each other.
Finally, I pray that you will bless all the family marriages with joy, happiness, and fulfillment. May each find true contentment and satisfaction in the marriage relationships, and may their love for one another continue to grow and flourish over time.
I ask for your continued blessings upon us.
Amen.

Prayer for Families to Spend Quality Time Together:
James 4:14 “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”
Father God
Thank you for my family. I am so blessed to have an immediate and extended family who loves and respects one another. My prayer today is that we all stop and remember time on this earth is so short and that we need to take time to gather together to celebrate and value each other. Lord, please place on the hearts of all the family the importance of our spending time for one another.

I realize each family member has obligations with activities and business. I pray that you help us to prioritize spending quality time together and create meaningful memories that will last a lifetime. My heart’s desire is that our children learn to value family members and have memories that leave a legacy of love and unity. May we learn to put aside our busy schedules and distractions and focus on each other, cherishing every moment we have together. Help us to communicate openly and lovingly with one another, understanding each other’s needs and desires.
Above all, help us to recognize the precious gift of family and to cherish the time we have with one another. May our family bonds grow stronger with each passing day, and may we always find joy in each other’s company.
I ask for your continued blessings upon our families, and we pray that you help us to live each day with grateful and loving hearts.
I ask all in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Proverbs 27:1 “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”
Prayer for My Family to Have a Time of Stillness:
Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God…”
Lord
Life seems to be moving so fast that sometimes I feel my family members don’t take time to just be still. The constant hustle and bustle of life can be such a distraction. I feel these distractions are hindering each of us from appreciating each other and you. Today I pray for my family to have a time of stillness, where we can pause, breathe, and reflect on your goodness and grace.

Help us to find moments of quiet in the midst of our busy schedules, where we can connect with you and with each other. May we learn to rest in your presence and find peace in your love. Lord, l praise you for providing my family with a home built on love and safety. May our home be a sanctuary of rest and renewal, where we can recharge our bodies, minds, and souls. Help us to release the burdens and worries that weigh us down and trust in your plan for our lives.
Help us learn to prioritize our time together, cherishing the moments we have as a family. May we find joy in simple pleasures, and may our love for one another grow deeper with each passing day.
Thank you for your never-ending love and grace, and for the gift of family. May we honor and glorify you in all that we do, and may your peace and stillness fill our hearts and our home.
In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
