Prayer to Give Me the Eyes of Christ:
Luke 6:36 “Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.”
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you today asking for your help in increasing my compassion and mercy. I know that these qualities are important for living a life that is filled with love and understanding for others.
Please help me to see the world through your eyes, to understand that everyone is struggling in their own way and to show them kindness and compassion no matter what they have done or where they come from.

Help me to be more forgiving and to let go of anger and resentment towards others. Help me to show mercy to those who have wronged me and to extend grace to those who need it most. Lord, you are rich in mercy, to the point of dying for our sins. I want to grow more in my walk to be like you. Ephesians 2:4 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us.”
I pray that you would fill my heart with your love and compassion, so that I may be a source of hope and comfort to those around me.
I know that I cannot do this on my own and I humbly ask for your help and guidance as I strive to become a more compassionate and merciful person.
In your holy name I pray, Amen.
Colossians 3:12 “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.”
Prayer to Have More Empathy Toward Others:
Colossians 3:12 “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience”
Heavenly Father, I want to feel like you feel. I want to see others as you see them. Help me put myself in each person’s place to better understand what others are going through. I know if I put myself in another person’s place, I may be better able to help them and understand their feelings.
I come before you today seeking your wisdom and guidance. I pray that you would help me to have more empathy toward others.
I ask that you would give me a heart that is sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. Help me to see the world through their eyes, to understand their struggles, and to feel their pain. Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”
I pray that you would give me the ability to be a good listener and to provide comfort and support to those who are hurting. I pray that you would give me the wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent.

I pray that you would give me the courage to stand up for those who are marginalized and to be an advocate for those who are not able to speak for themselves.
I pray that you would give me the patience and kindness to be a good friend and to be a positive influence in the lives of those around me.
I know that true empathy comes from you, and I pray that you would fill me with your love and compassion. I trust in your guidance and I know that you will help me to be a better person, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.”
Prayer to Be a Better Person:
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…”
Dear God, your Word tells us we are to become more Christlike. Every day I find myself falling short of your expectations and I have not always been the person I know I can be or who you want me to be. I ask for your forgiveness and for your help to become a better person.

I pray for your guidance and your Holy Spirit to lead me on the path of righteousness and truth. I ask for the strength to resist temptation and to overcome the sin that so easily entangles me. I pray for the courage to stand up for what is right, even when it is difficult, and to always seek to do your will.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
I ask for your grace to help me grow in love and kindness, to be patient and understanding with those around me, and to show compassion to all those in need. I pray for wisdom to see the world through your eyes, and to always seek your will in my interactions with others.
Thank you for your love and care for me, God, and for being my constant companion and comforter. I trust in your goodness and mercy, and I pray that your will be done in my life. Amen.
Romans 8:9 “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.”
Prayer to Give Me a Heart to Care for the Sick:
James 5:13-16 “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
Father
I praise you for my health. I never want to take that for granted because I know plenty of people are sick and hurting. Lord, I want to have the heart to minister to those in nursing homes, hospitals, hospice care, and homebound. I come to you today, asking for your guidance and comfort as I care for the sick. I pray for strength, patience, and compassion as I tend to those suffering and in need.

Please grant me the wisdom to know how to best care for them, the courage to make difficult decisions, and the empathy to understand their pain and struggles. Help me to see the humanity in each person I care for, to treat them with dignity and respect, and to provide them with the comfort and care that they deserve.
Romans 15:1 “We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”
Lord, as I minister to these sick people, please guard me against any sickness I may be exposed to. Build my immune system so that no harm can enter my body.
Guide me as I navigate the challenges of caring for the sick, and help me to remain focused on their needs and well-being. May my efforts bring relief and healing to those who are suffering, and may I be a source of comfort and strength to them and their loved ones.
I ask for your continued grace and blessings as I carry out this important work, and I pray that you will watch over all those who are sick and in need of care. Amen.
1 John 3:17-18 “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
Prayer to Give Me Mercy Toward Those Who Have Hurt Me:
Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Merciful Father
I am having trouble dealing with a person who has continually hurt me. Even though he/she has asked for forgiveness every time, he/she repeats the behavior. You have shown me this person has internal wounds that are causing this behavior. I come to you today seeking your help in extending mercy to those this person and others who have hurt me in the past. It is difficult for me to forgive those who have caused me pain and suffering, but I know that holding onto anger and bitterness only causes further harm to myself and others.
Please give me the strength to let go of the hurt and to release any resentment or grudges that I may be holding onto. Help me to see those who have hurt me through your eyes, with compassion, mercy, and understanding.
Grant me the courage to reach out to those who have caused me pain and to extend forgiveness, even if they do not seek it or acknowledge their wrongdoing. Help me to be a vessel of your love and mercy, and to offer healing to those who have hurt me.

May my actions reflect the grace and forgiveness that you have shown to me, and may they serve as a testament to your love and compassion for all. I pray that you will give me the strength and guidance I need to extend mercy to those who have hurt me, and to find peace and healing in the process.
Thank you for your never-ending grace and love, and for the opportunity to grow and learn from difficult experiences. Amen.
Luke 6:36 “Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.”
Prayer to Increase My Compassion for Innocent Children in Harm’s Way:
Matthew 18:6 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
Compassionate Father,
It seems as though the culture of the world is in collapse. Children everywhere are in situations that are harming them significantly. I come to you today with a heavy heart and deep concern for the innocent children who are in harm’s way. I pray for their safety and protection, and for an end to the violence, trafficking, and suffering that they are experiencing.
I ask that you wrap your loving arms around these children. Raise up churches, organizations, and people who are willing to intervene in these situations where children are suffering. Open our eyes to ways to help. Soften the hearts of those who have the financial means to go to the rescue of these children.
Lord, as hard as it is, I know I need to pray for those who are involved in anything related to harming children. I ask that you open their hearts to compassion and understanding, and guide them towards a path of peace and non-violence and a relationship with Jesus.
I recognize that we all have a role to play in creating a more peaceful world, and I ask that you give us the courage and wisdom to take the necessary steps toward that goal.
May your love and compassion shine upon these children and their families, and may we all work together to create a world where all children can thrive in safety and peace.
Amen.
Luke 18:16 “But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”

Prayer of Compassion for Those in the Sex Trade Industry:
Galatians 5:1 “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
Compassionate Father,
I come to you today with a heavy heart for those who are caught in the sex trade industry. I pray for their safety, protection, and release from this exploitative industry. Raise up churches, organizations, and individuals who can minister to the people in this horrific industry. I pray your Holy Spirit touches my heart to have more compassion for these people. They are all your creation.
I ask that you wrap your loving arms around them and provide them with the courage to escape their situation. I pray that they may find hope and healing and that they may be surrounded by compassionate people who can support and guide them toward a better life. Put me safely in the life of one or more of these individuals in this industry. Give me the words to say and the pathway to rescue those I have access. Touch me to see them as a person you created, a person with worth and dignity.

I also pray for those who are perpetrating this industry. I ask that you open their hearts to see the harm that they are causing and guide them toward a path of compassion and respect for all beings.
May your love and compassion shine upon those who are in the sex trade industry, and may we all do our part to support their journey towards freedom and healing.
Amen.
1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”
