Prayer for Wisdom in Financial Spending:
Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
Dear God,
I come to you today seeking guidance and clarity as I try to determine my priorities with my finances. Help me to let go of any confusion and uncertainty, and to focus on what is truly important. I want to be a wise steward of the blessings you have given me.
Grant me the wisdom and discernment to make good financial decisions, and to prioritize what truly matters in my life. Help me to prioritize giving and generosity, and to use my resources to advance your kingdom and serve others. Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”
Teach me to be responsible and disciplined in my spending and saving, and to prioritize my long-term financial well-being. Help me to trust in your provision and care, and to know that you will always meet my needs. Guide me in being financially independent. I don’t want to be a debtor to credit cards. Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” Guard my heart against building material possessions that don’t bring glory to you. Align my priorities to your desires.

Thank you for your presence and love in my life, and for the many blessings you have bestowed upon me. I pray that through your guidance, I may prioritize my finances in a way that honors you and brings me joy. Amen.
Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Prayer to Offer My Tithes and Offerings as Part of Worship:
Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”
Generous Father,
Praise you for providing so abundantly. Even in times of struggle, I committed to being obedient to your Word. Your Word tells us to bring to you a tenth of our firstfruits. Lord, I offer to you this as a part of worship. I pray I always make this a priority in my finances. You have provided for me in ways that I could never have imagined, and I am grateful for your provision. Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”
I recognize that everything I have comes from you, and I desire to honor you with the first fruits of my labor. May my giving be a reflection of my love and gratitude for you, and may it be used to further your kingdom and bring glory to your name. Continue to make me a cheerful giver, not giving out of “duty” but out of love and appreciation for your provisions.
I pray that you would bless these tithes and offerings, and multiply them to meet the needs of those who are less fortunate. Use them to bring hope and healing to those who are hurting, and to spread the good news of your love to all people.
Thank you for the privilege of being able to give back to you in this way. I pray that my heart would always be open to your leading, and that I would continue to trust in your provision for my life.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Prayer for Being a Wise Steward With My Finances:
Luke 12:15 And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Heavenly Father, I come to you today with a grateful heart, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from you. I thank you for the blessings of financial provision and the ability to earn a living. I admit I haven’t often made wise choices. I’m turning to you to help me make better decisions and find opportunities to invest in your work.
I confess that I have not always been a good steward of the resources you have given me. I have wasted time and money on things that do not bring glory to your name. I have not always been responsible with my finances and have failed to plan for the future. Please help me be more vigilant over your resources.
I ask for your forgiveness and for the strength to change my ways. I pray for wisdom to make wise financial decisions, for discipline to save and invest wisely, and for the courage to live within my means.
Help me to use my finances to support your kingdom and to bless others. Teach me to be generous and to use my resources to make a difference in the lives of those around me.
I trust in your promise to meet all my needs according to your riches in glory. I believe that you will provide for me and that you will bless me as we seek to honor you with my finances.
I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Proverbs 27:23 “Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds.”

Prayer to Prioritize Getting Out of Debt:
Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.”
Heavenly Father,
You know everything about my financial situation. I repent for not always being the best steward of my finances. I’m ready to make a change and need your help in climbing out of the debt I have incurred. I know that I have made mistakes and poor financial decisions, and I am now struggling to make ends meet. I pray that you give me the strength and wisdom to overcome this financial challenge.

Help me to prioritize getting out of debt, to make the necessary sacrifices, and to resist the temptation to overspend. Guide me towards the right financial decisions and help me to avoid any traps or pitfalls that may lead me further into debt. I want to repay those I owe money to for that is the honorable thing to do. I pray for strength to continue this repayment.
I ask that you provide for my needs, both now and in the future, and help me to manage my resources wisely. Give me the courage to ask for help when I need it, and surround me with supportive people who can help me stay on track.
I trust in your love and your mercy, and I know that you can provide for me even in the midst of this difficult situation. I give you my worries and my fears, and I ask that you replace them with hope, peace, and a sense of purpose.
Thank you for listening to my prayer, and for being with me every step of the way.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Romans 13:7 “Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.”
Prayer to Be Content With What I Have:
Philippians 4:11-13 “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Father,
Today I am doing a self-assessment of my financial situation. I praise you for providing for me and for helping me with self-discipline as I learn to prioritize my spending. I come to you today with a humble heart, recognizing that I am blessed beyond measure. You have provided me with so much, and for that, I am truly grateful.
Yet I find myself sometimes struggling with feelings of discontentment. I am tempted to compare myself to others, to desire what they have, and to overlook the many blessings that you have already given me. I have come to know the destruction envy can cause and I need your help in keeping me from the harm it causes. Proverbs 14:30 “A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot.”
Help me, Lord, to be content with what I have. Remind me that true joy and happiness do not come from material possessions, but from the peace that comes from knowing you and from the love that I share with those around me. Help me learn to live a simpler life.

Help me to cultivate a grateful heart, one that is filled with appreciation for all that you have done for me. Open my eyes to see the many blessings that surround me, and help me to use them to bless others.
Finally, Lord, help me to trust in your plan for my life. Give me the courage to embrace the path that you have set before me, even when it is difficult or challenging. Teach me to rely on your strength and your guidance, knowing that you will never leave me or forsake me.
Thank you for your love and your mercy, and for the many blessings that you have given me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Prayer to Provide for My Family First:
1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
Faithful Father,
We live in a world where we are bombarded with the latest and greatest products, many of which aren’t needed. The temptation can sometimes be very great. I ask that you help me to always prioritize my family first, making sure their needs are met. Remove any selfish desires I may have. Guide me in making wise financial decisions, and give me the strength to resist any temptations to spend money on things that are not essential.
Teach me to be a good steward of the resources that you have entrusted to me, and to use them to bless and provide for my family. Help me to put their needs above my own desires, and to make sacrifices when necessary for their sake. Remove any envy I have for what others have. Remind me daily that you care about the status of my heart rather than my outward appearance. Remove all worldliness I have.

Give me the wisdom to manage my finances well, and to seek help when I need it. Surround me with supportive people who can provide me with good advice and guidance.
Above all, Lord, help me to trust in your provision. Remind me that you have promised to meet all of our needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Help me to rest in your love and your faithfulness, knowing that you will never leave us or forsake us.
Thank you for your love and your mercy, and for the many blessings that you have given us. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Proverbs 13:22 “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.“
Prayer to Change My Heart Toward Money and Spending:
Ecclesiastes 5:10 “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.”
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the blessings you have poured into my life when I have not deserved much of what I have been given. Lately, I have been on a journey to do much introspection. I don’t like what I have found. I have come to realize I have an unhealthy relationship with my finances. This has caused me to not be a good steward of what you have given me.
I confess my focus has been on the money and what it can buy rather than my relationship with the money. I confess I am the person described in 1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” My concentration has been on gaining wealth more than what you desire of my life. My life has been out of balance.
Lord, I ask for your forgiveness for the ways I have misused the resources you entrusted to me. I ask that you would change my heart toward money and spending. Help me to see money as a gift from you, to be used wisely and for your glory. Give me the wisdom to manage my finances well, and the discipline to resist the temptation to overspend or indulge in things that are not necessary.
Teach me to be content with what I have, and to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. Help me to be generous with my resources, using them to bless others and to further your kingdom.
Above all, Lord, help me to trust in you as my provider. Remind me that you are faithful to provide for all of my needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Help me to rest in your love and your provision, knowing that you will never leave me or forsake me.
Thank you for your love and your mercy, and for the many blessings that you have given me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
