Prayer for Retreat Attendees, Workers, and Facilities:
Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father secretly. Then your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward you.”
Lord, I come to you with great anticipation and excitement about our upcoming retreat. Your Word tells us “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20. We are ready for your Holy Spirit to be poured out on our gathering. I can hardly contain myself, knowing that the lives of all involved in the retreat will be changed.
We are not going into this retreat without much planning and prayer. I am petitioning you in all areas surrounding the retreat.
Leaders: Lord, I pray you give the leaders of the retreat wisdom that can come from you only. James 1:5 tells us “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” Prepare the hearts of the leaders as they plan each detail. May each aspect be planned with the sole purpose of glorifying you and changing the lives of all involved. I pray that the leaders are of one mind and personalities are set aside. Have them operate in one accord.
Speakers: Please send us those individuals who have surrendered their lives to you and are there to be a vessel for your message. Prepare their hearts to be laser-focused on your Word. Clear all detractions from their lives as they prepare in prayer to be an integral part of our retreat.
Attendees: Father, I ask that you move on those individuals who are to attend the retreat. Send us the ones who are to be there—who are coming with great anticipation of a life-changing event. I pray the Holy Spirit is poured into their lives and eyes and hearts are opened to things never seen before. If there are any who are hesitant to attend, Lord, if it is your will, send them anyway. I know you will honor your Word and your purpose will move in their lives. We want healing and growth to be a result of our retreat. I pray for the families the attendees are leaving behind while at the retreat. Keep them safe, and prepare them for the new person their loved one will be after the retreat. I am asking that lives will be changed and the ripple effect will spread to generations to come.

Facilities: I anoint the retreat location with oil, praying for each area to be cleansed of any works of the evil one. Bring peace to each room. I ask that all mechanical functions work properly to make it a comfortable place for your Spirit to move mightily. I pray for the workers who are employed by the facility. May they sense the movement of the Holy Spirit also.
“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’S purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21 We praise you, Lord, for the work you are about to do. We ask all these things in your Precious Name. Amen
Prayer for Those Leading the Retreat:
Hebrews 13:7 “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.“
Heavenly Father, today I’m praying for those people who will be leading our retreat. I realize this carries a large responsibility for all involved in the planning. I ask that you would give them wisdom, discernment, and the ability to speak your truth in a way that will encourage and uplift those who are in attendance. May your guidance give them the message that you want to be shared with those in attendance. I pray the Holy Spirit be their guide in selecting topics and for the agenda.
We pray that they will be filled with your love and compassion, that they will be sensitive to the needs of each individual and that they will have the courage to lead in the way that you have called them to. Please bless their families and loved ones at home, and watch over them during this time of retreat. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Proverbs 11:14 “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”
