Deuteronomy 7:14 “You will be blessed beyond all peoples; there will be no barrenness among you. “
Father,
I pray this season of infertility will soon be over. I come to you with a longing heart, burdened by the ache of not being able to conceive. Lord, You see every tear I shed in secret, every month of waiting, every hope that fades. You know the deep sorrow and questions within me. Yet I thank You that You are the God who hears the cries of the barren, just as You heard Hannah’s plea and remembered her in 1 Samuel 1:19-20.
Even in my times of questioning, I have faith that all things work together according to Your timing. I ask that in these times, You take my thoughts captive. Return them to the perfect will you have for my life. When I start to wonder the “whys” in my life, help me recall the scriptures You have given us so that my faith stands firm.
Father, I praise You because You created children to be a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. You knit life together in the womb and call us to be fruitful. In my waiting, help me trust that nothing is too hard for You—You opened Sarah’s womb in her old age, showing that with God nothing is impossible. Like Elizabeth, once called barren, You can bring life in Your perfect timing. Keep my mindset on your timeline during the waiting period.
I confess that sometimes I feel discouraged, but I choose to believe Your truth over my feelings. You are the giver of life, and nothing is impossible for You. You know my heart is wounded from repeated negative pregnancy results. Heal my wounded heart and renew my strength. Your word tells me those who hope in You will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles. Comfort me in this, for You are the God of all comfort. Even in this valley, remind me that You work all things for good for those who love You.
You know I want to obey You. Lord, show me the things I need to change so my heart and life are in harmony with Your desires for me. Lead me to the physicians if they are to be a part of my miraculous pregnancy. Lord, whether through natural means, adoption, or Your sovereign plan, fulfill the desires of my heart according to Your will. Until then, fill my emptiness with Your peace that surpasses understanding and Your unfailing love. Lord, help me rest in Your love, knowing that my worth is not defined by this season. Sustain me, strengthen my faith, and let me one day sing of Your faithfulness.
