Ephesians 5:11 “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heavy heart, Lord. Each year, it seems the world celebrates the Halloween season even more. I am burdened by the number of Christians and non-believers who feel as though this is an innocent holiday. Today I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, that people see the darkness surrounding this holiday.
Your Word says, Lord, give Your people discernment in this season when the world celebrates what is dark, fearful, and unholy. Teach us that as Christians, we are called to be “the light of the world—a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
Father, forgive your people for the times we’ve compromised with the world’s ways. Strengthen our conviction to stand apart, not in pride but in holiness. We choose Your truth over traditions that glorify fear, witchcraft, and death. Help us to fill this season with prayer, worship, and thanksgiving—reminding others that “perfect love casts out all fear.” 1 John 4:18
I intercede for those caught in darkness, those involved in witchcraft, the occult, or demonic influence. Lord, open their eyes to Your light and truth. Let the power of the Holy Spirit break every chain of deception and fear. I declare freedom, healing, and salvation in Jesus’ name.
Father, Your Word declares, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 I bind all powers of darkness, all schemes of the enemy, and every spirit that opposes Christ. Let Your light shine through Your people so the world may see the hope of Jesus.
In Jesus’ powerful name,
Amen.
