Prayer for My Role in a Christlike Marriage:
Colossians 3:12 “Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
Heavenly Father, I come to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your guidance and wisdom in my troubled marriage. I know our relationship has been strained, and we have caused each other pain and hurt.
I ask that you forgive me for my mistakes and shortcomings and give me the strength and courage to forgive my spouse for all hurts. Help me lay aside my pride and ego and help me understand my spouse’s perspectives and feelings.
Lord, I pray you to show me my role in my marriage. Let my eyes see we are equal and are bound together to glorify your name. You tell us marriage is a picture of the church. I want to have that relationship with my husband/wife.
[Husbands and wives pray the appropriate scripture.]
[Ephesians 5:8-9 “So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church.]
[Ephesians 5:22-23 “Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.]

Grant me the wisdom to communicate effectively and with love and to avoid speaking out of anger or frustration. Protect me from the temptation to turn to others for comfort or support, and guide me to turn to you and to one another for guidance and strength.
I pray that You would restore our marriage and bless us with a deep and abiding love for one another. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Amen.
Prayer Against the Attack of Satan on My Marriage:
James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
Heavenly Father, I come to you today in desperate need of your guidance and wisdom. My marriage is in crisis, and we are struggling to find our way back to each other.
I ask that you give us the strength and courage to face the challenges and difficulties we are currently facing. Help us to put aside our pride and ego and to seek your guidance and direction in all things.
I pray that you will give us the wisdom to understand each other’s perspectives and feelings and the ability to communicate with love and respect. Help us listen to one another with empathy and understanding and resolve conflicts peacefully and gracefully.

Lord, I know there is nothing more Satan wants than to destroy our marriage. 1 Peter 5:6-8 tells us, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” I bind all works of Satan in my marriage and house. I refuse to let him win in this battle. As challenges arise, remind me what is at hand, for we battle principalities in high places. I anoint my house with oil that you may be glorified.
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].”
I ask that you bless our marriage with your presence and guidance and restore the love and connection that we once had. We pray that you will give us the strength to persevere through this difficult time and come out stronger and more united.
I trust in your goodness and faithfulness and ask that you bring healing and restoration to our marriage.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
A Prayer for Forgiveness and a Healed Marriage:
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Faithful Father, I come before you today seeking forgiveness for the mistakes that I have made in my marriage. I know I have hurt my spouse, and I am deeply sorry for any pain or suffering I have caused.
Please help me find the courage to take responsibility for my actions and seek my spouse’s forgiveness. Please guide me toward the right words and actions to help heal our marriage.
Please help my spouse to find it in his/her heart to forgive me and to work with me toward a healthier and happier relationship. Please guide us toward open communication, understanding, and empathy for one another. Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Please help us let go of any grudges, resentments, or negative emotions we may hold onto. Help us to approach one another with love, kindness, and compassion. Father, I stand on your word in Ecclesiastes 4:12 “And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” We entered a marriage covenant before you; with you, my spouse, and myself, we are a threefold cord that I believe will not be easily broken. I pray my spouse, and I always remember that marriage covenant.

Please bless our marriage with your love and grace, and help us to rebuild our relationship on a foundation of trust, respect, and mutual support. Thank you for your forgiveness, love, and all you do for us. I ask all these things in your holy and precious name, Amen.
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Hebrews 13:4 “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”
Prayer to Save My Marriage From Divorce:
Matthew 19:6 “So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Lord,
I praise you for the spouse you have given me. You are not a god of mistakes, so I know this time of trouble we are having in our marriage comes from the fact we have not put our marriage first. I come to you with a heavy heart and a deep sense of concern for the future of my marriage. My spouse and I are struggling and facing the possibility of divorce. I know that you have the power to intervene and bring healing and restoration to our relationship.
Malachi 2:16 “For I hate divorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel…”
Please help us find our way back to each other, remember the love we once shared, and rediscover the deep connection we have lost. Give us the wisdom and courage to work through our problems and find solutions that will help us rebuild our trust and commitment to each other.
Please help us communicate with honesty and compassion, listen with empathy, and show each other the respect and kindness we deserve. Help us to forgive each other for the mistakes that we have made and to move forward with a renewed sense of hope and optimism. May we honor each other and our marriage vows.
Hebrews 13:4 “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”

I pray that you will bless our marriage, help us to grow in love and unity, and to give us the strength and endurance to weather any storm that may come our way. With your help, we can overcome any challenge and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever.
Thank you for your loving kindness and for your grace, which is always available to us whenever we seek your help. I trust in your infinite wisdom and boundless love, and I know you will guide us to a brighter and happier future.
Amen.
Genesis 2:24 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
Prayer for Love and Respect in My Marriage:
Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”
Heavenly Father
I continue to pray for my marriage. I come before you today with a humble heart and a sincere desire for your help in my marriage. As my spouse and I work through healing our marriage, I ask that you pour out love and respect on each of us.
Please help me to see my partner through your eyes and to appreciate their unique qualities and strengths. Guide me to be a loving and supportive partner and to show my spouse the respect they deserve. By the power of the Holy Spirit, empower us to put aside our past hurts and actions to move forward and commit to the marriage covenant we entered.

Help us communicate effectively, listen to each other with an open heart, and understand each other’s needs and desires. During this trying time, may we remember to treat each other with kindness, compassion, and empathy. Let us listen beyond the words being said. Help us understand each others’ emotions involved in the words that are said.
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
Please strengthen our bonds and help us build a strong foundation of trust and commitment. Give us the wisdom and patience to work through any challenges we may face, and always choose love and respect in our interactions with each other.
Thank you for my partner’s gift and the love we share. I trust in your guidance and grace as we navigate this journey together.
Amen.
Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
Prayer to Make Our Marriage a Priority:
Ephesians 5:22-33 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, …”
Faithful Father
I praise you for the spouse you have gifted me with. Your heart is for the family structure; Satan is increasingly attacking the family every day. I repent for my spouse and me for not prioritizing our marriage. We are guilty of making the day-to-day activities and obligations get in the way of what we should have made our top priority. I come to you today to ask for your help in making our marriage a top priority from now on. Life can be busy and stressful, and it’s easy for my spouse and me to get caught up in our individual responsibilities and forget to focus on our relationship.
Please help us to prioritize our marriage and make time for each other. Guide us to set aside distractions and truly connect with each other deeply and meaningfully.
1 Peter 4:8 “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”
Give us the strength and commitment to put in the effort needed to nurture our relationship, even when it’s challenging. May we always be willing to listen, to forgive, and to support each other in all circumstances.

Help us to build a strong foundation of trust, communication, and love and to find joy and fulfillment in our relationship. May our marriage be a shining example of your love and grace, and may it bring glory to Your name.
Thank you for my spouse’s gift and the love we share. I trust in your guidance and your wisdom as we work to make our marriage a priority.
Amen.
Ephesians 5:25-33 “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, …”
Prayer to Hold on to Hope for Our Marriage:
Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Faithful Father
These are dark days in my marriage. It seems like there is no hope for reconciliation. I come to you today with a heavy heart and deep despair about my marriage. We have been going through a difficult time, and it feels like we are losing the love and connection we once had. Even though my marriage seems to be ending, I want to trust in you to restore hope in my heart. Even though Satan has plans to destroy our marriage, I stand on your word for restoration.
John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

But I know that with your help, there is always hope. Please fill our hearts with the hope and strength we need to work through our problems and rebuild our relationship.
Help us to find the courage to face the challenges we are currently going through and to work together to overcome them. May we be open to healing and the transformation needed to restore our marriage. Give us a heart of forgiveness so that we can move forward. Erase all anger and betrayal we each feel.
Thank you for the love that we share and for the commitment that we have made to each other. I know that with your help, we can overcome any obstacle and become stronger on the other side.
I trust in your guidance and your love as we work to hold on to hope for our marriage.
Amen.
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
