7 Prayers to Surrender My Heart Fully

Prayer to Purify My Heart:

Loving Lord and heavenly Father, I offer up today all that I am, all that I have, all that I do, and all that I suffer, to be Yours today and Yours forever. I lay my life before you in full surrender. Give me grace, Lord, to do all that I know of Your holy will. Purify my heart, sanctify my thinking, correct my desires. Teach me, in all of today’s work and trouble and joy, to respond with honest praise, simple trust, and instant obedience, that my life may be in truth a living sacrifice, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, my Master and my all. Amen.

Prayer to Remove “Idols” From My Worship:

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Dear God,

I repent for the time I spend on things that are not of you. I have realized that it is likened to worshiping an idol other than the worship of Jesus. I come before you today with a heart full of love and a desire to fully surrender myself to you. I know I am not always in control of my life and need your guidance and direction.

I ask that you help me to let go of my plans and agendas and to trust in your will for my life. I surrender my heart, mind, and soul to you and ask that you fill me with your love and peace. Please remove all “idols” I may have and open my heart to all things of you. I am in the world but not of the world. By the Power of the Holy Spirit, quicken my heart to the things I spend my time on that don’t bring glory to your name. I surrender my life to you, allowing you to order my steps fully.

Today I commit to being more mindful of my time and resources. I pray for a heart of worship to you and only you. Everything else in this world is temporal. You are eternal.

Colossians 3:5 “Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”

Thank you for your unconditional love and for the blessings that you bring into my life. I pray that I may always serve you with a heart of full surrender.

Amen.

Prayer to Make Sacrifices for Others:

1 Peter 4:9-11 “Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Faithful Father,

My heart has not been what you ask of me. Your Word tells us it is better to serve than to be served. I repent for being a selfish person; I am convicted I need to surrender to you. The Holy Spirit has convicted me of my lack of service to mankind. Today I humbly commit to offering myself as a sacrifice of praise in finding ways to serve others. Please help me see beyond my own needs and desires and recognize the struggles and challenges those around me face.

Grant me the strength and courage to make sacrifices, big or small that can alleviate the suffering of others. Help me to find joy in giving and serving and to recognize the blessings that come from putting the needs of others before my own. Let me bless others with my time, words, and finances. I offer these as a sacrifice of praise to you.

Hebrews 13:15 “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”

Please guide me in my actions and decisions, and help me to be a source of love, support, and comfort to those in need. May my sacrifices reflect your love and grace and bring hope and healing to those who receive them.

Thank you for your endless love and compassion and the opportunity to serve others in your name.

Amen.

Matthew 25:35-40 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

Prayer to Remove All Worldly Thoughts:

1 John 2:15 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Father,

I come to you with a heart burdened by the distractions and temptations of this world. I am overwhelmed by the noise and chaos around me and find it difficult to focus on the things that truly matter. You tell us we are to be in this world but not of this world. I know I have spent too much time being in this world and not spending time in praise and worship of my heavenly Creator. I have let the busyness of this life distract me, and I repent.

Please help me to remove all worldly thoughts from my mind and to turn my attention to the things that are good, pure, and true. Help me to let go of my attachments to material possessions, status, and other things that distract me from my spiritual path. I want to surrender to you fully. I pray the words of my lips are like honey to you.

Grant me the wisdom to discern what is truly important in my life and the strength to pursue those things passionately and purposefully. Help me cultivate a spirit of detachment and simplicity and find contentment in life’s simple things. Let my life be one of praise to you. When Satan tries to sway me to things of this world, I pray for the strength to resist him at every turn.

Please fill me with your love and peace, and help me to live in harmony with your will. May I be a vessel of your light and love and a beacon of hope to those around me. Let all I do point directly to the saving grace of Jesus.

Thank you for your constant presence in my life and the grace and mercy you extend to me daily. I pray in the precious name of Jesus.

Amen.

Romans 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Prayer to Crucify the Flesh:

Galatians 5:24 “And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

Faithful Father,

I desire to worship you fully, Lord. I want to worship you with my words and actions. I deal with controlling my fleshly desires; those I know hinder my praise and worship of you. I come before you today to ask for your help in crucifying the flesh and drawing me to full surrender to you. I know that my human desires and impulses often lead me down the wrong path, causing me to sin and stray from your will.

Lord, please give me the strength to resist these temptations and to walk in the spirit. Help me to put to death the deeds of the flesh so that I may live a life that is pleasing to you. My witness of your work in me is oftentimes harmed when I fall into the trap of following my fleshly desires. I want my life to be that of a witness of praise and worship to You, the One True God. 1 Corinthians 15:31 “I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day!”

I ask for your guidance and wisdom as I navigate the challenges of this world. May your Holy Spirit dwell within me, leading me on the path of righteousness and away from the path of destruction. Romans 13:14 “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”

Thank you for your grace and mercy, always available to me. I trust in you, Lord, to help me crucify the flesh and live a life of surrender worthy of your calling.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.

Romans 8:4 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”

Prayer for Full Trust in Christ:

Psalm 56:3-4 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?”

Almighty God,

My heart is heavy with the concerns of the world. When I become preoccupied with this life, I find I can’t fully praise you with my complete being. I come before you today to ask for the gift of full trust in Christ. Free me to fall into your arms and fully trust everything in my life. I know that in my strength, I am weak and prone to doubt and fear. But I also know that everything is possible in you and that you have always promised to be with me.

Help me to surrender my doubts and fears to you and to place my complete trust in Christ. May he be the anchor of my soul, the rock upon which I stand, and the source of my strength. With this mindset and belief, I will truly be free to offer myself as a living sacrifice of praise. I ask you to take captive all my thoughts to glorify you in my life.

Lord, I ask that you increase my faith and help me see your hand at work. May I be filled with the peace that comes from knowing that you are in control and have a plan for my life. Let my lips offer a praise offering all the hours of the day.

Thank you for your love, your grace, and your mercy. I trust in you, Lord, to guide me on the path of righteousness and to lead me to the eternal life that can only be found through surrender to Christ.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.

Prayers of Full Heart Surrender

Prayer to Make God’s Will My Will:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Faithful Father,

Thank you for always being faithful in directing my steps. There are times when I question the will for my life. I desire to seek Your Word to know Your will. I come before you today to ask for the grace to make your will my will. I know your plans for me are good, and you have a purpose for my life that goes beyond my understanding. I give you full heart surrender as I grow in aligning our wills.

But sometimes, Lord, I find myself struggling to accept your will. I cling to my desires and plans, even when they don’t align with your perfect plan. I repent for that and commit to putting my desires aside. 1 John 2:17 “And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”

So today, I ask for your help. Help me surrender my will to yours and trust you know what is best for me. Give me the strength to follow wherever you lead, even when difficult or uncomfortable. I commit to keeping my eyes focused on you and your leadership.

Lord, I know that your ways are higher than mine and that you have promised to work all things together for my good. May your will be done in my life, and may I find joy and peace in following it.

Thank you for your love, your grace, and your mercy. I trust in you, Lord, to guide me on the path of righteousness and to lead me to the abundant life that can only be found in you.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.
