Prayer to Honor God With My First Fruits:
Proverbs 3: 9-10: 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Heavenly Father, thank you for satisfying our every desire and need. You desire us to be wise stewards of the blessings you have given us. I acknowledge that everything good comes from you because you are a good Father. Proverbs 3: 9-10 says we should honor you with the first fruits of our wealth. Lord, help me continue to be disciplined to follow your Word concerning what you have given me. Accept my tithes and offerings as a gift of worship to you.
Multiply what I give to grow your kingdom. Lord, continually remind me that I can outgive you. Luke 6:38 tells me “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.” Lord, I don’t give solely to receive from you, but I stand by your promise that I will be blessed for my obedience. All prayerfully asked in your Name. Amen

Prayers to Have Self-Control Over Spending:
Proverbs 25:28: “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.”
Lord, I am petitioning you for help in controlling my spending. I recognize that lack of self-control is evidence of the flesh, but self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. I come before you to ask for your help in a daily infilling for the Holy Spirit.

My out-of-control spending has affected my life in less than beneficial ways. Some purchases feel right at the moment but cause so much added debt and disappointment afterward. I know you call me to live a life of self-control in all areas. Help me practice discernment and not choose the path of instant gratification. Please forgive me for the times I chose to act in my flesh when You gave me a better way. As I get more control over my spending, I know my debt will decrease, and I will have less stress in my life.
Please remove this need to buy and what appears to be greed sometimes. I want to be a good steward of my finances. I know that begins with controlling my spending. I’m trusting you for help.
All the in Name above all Names. Amen
Galatians 5:24: “Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
Prayer to Develop and Follow a Budget:
Luke 12:42 “And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?”
Faithful Father,
I praise you for being so faithful to me through the years. You have blessed me abundantly. I realize I haven’t always been a wise steward of my blessings, and I’m ready for a change. I seek guidance and strength in developing and following a budget. I understand that managing my finances is an important aspect of living a fulfilling and stable life, but I find it difficult to stick to a budget and make wise financial decisions.

Please help me cultivate the discipline and wisdom I need to create a budget that accurately reflects my income and expenses and enables me to save for my future goals. Help me resist the temptation to overspend or make impulsive purchases that jeopardize my financial well-being.
Guide me in making wise choices regarding budgeting, saving, and investing. Give me the clarity and focus I need to stay on track and the courage to make difficult decisions when necessary.
Thank you for your wisdom, guidance, and support. I trust that with your help, I can have a stable and prosperous future.
Amen.
1 Corinthians 4:1-2 “This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”
Prayer to Spend Less and Be Content With a Simple Life:
Philippians 4:11-13 “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Heavenly Father
I pray you to remove my excess spending and life of extravagance. You have blessed me abundantly, and I have out-of-control spending. I come to you today seeking guidance and strength to live a life of simplicity and contentment with what I have. I know that I have been too focused on material possessions and that my desire for more has sometimes led me to spend beyond my means.
Please help me resist consumerism’s temptations and find joy in the simple things in life. Help me to appreciate the blessings that I have and to be grateful for what I have been given.
Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Guide me in making wise financial decisions and teach me to be a good steward of my resources. Help me to be mindful of my spending and to live within my means. Grant me the wisdom to prioritize my needs and to find creative ways to meet them.
Finally, Lord, I ask that you bless me with the strength and courage to make the necessary changes in my life. Give me the determination to let go of unnecessary possessions and to live with less. Help me to find contentment in the things that matter most.
Thank you for your loving kindness and your unending grace. May your presence be with me always as I seek to live a simple, contented life.
Amen.
1 Timothy 6:6-8 “But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.”

Prayer to Eliminate Credit Card Debt:
Romans 13:8 “Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
Heavenly Father
I repent for not being a wise steward of the financial blessings you have given me. I have lived beyond my means and incurred too much credit card debt. I have made mistakes in managing my finances and accumulated a significant amount of debt weighing me down.

I ask for your guidance and help in eliminating this debt from my life. Please grant me the wisdom and clarity to make the right decisions in managing my finances. Help me to find ways to pay off my debt quickly and effectively.

Please give me the strength and determination to resist the temptation to use credit cards and live within my means frivolously. Teach me to be content with what I have and find joy in life’s simple things.
I know this journey will not be easy, but I trust your love and grace to see me through. Help me stay committed to my goal of becoming debt-free and persevere through the challenges I may face.
Thank you for your unwavering love and support. I pray that I may honor you in all that I do and live a life of financial freedom and stability.
Amen.

Prayer to Prioritize Providing for My Family:
1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
Dear God,
Thank you for always providing for me financially. I have come to a point where I realize I haven’t always had my family as a priority regarding my finances. I come to you today to ask for your help and guidance as I seek to plan for my family’s future. I know you are a loving and caring God who wants the best for us, and I trust that you will help me prioritize providing for my family in the best way possible.

Please give me wisdom and discernment as I make decisions about work, finances, and other resources. Help me prioritize my family’s needs above my desires and wants and be a responsible steward of the blessings you have given me. Guide me to financial advisers who will help me develop a plan for my family if I am no longer the family’s breadwinner. Lord, I also desire my children to continue their education after high school. I need help in planning for this expense.
Guide me to opportunities that will provide for our needs and bless us. Give me strength and perseverance to work hard and to trust in your provision even when times are tough.
Above all, help me to love and care for my family as you love and care for us and always put their needs first. Thank you for your love, grace, and provision and for the blessings you have given me and my family.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Proverbs 13:22 “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.”
Prayer to Honor God With All the Resources He Has Given Me:
Proverbs 11:24-25 “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”
Generous Father,
I am so thankful for your generosity and the blessings you have poured out on me. My blessings have come in so many different forms, not just financial. I recognize that everything I have comes from you and that I am merely a steward of your gifts. I want to explore more ways I can safely and faithfully be a good steward of these blessings while sharing them with others.

Please help me to honor you with all the resources you have given me, including my time, talents, and finances. May I use these resources to glorify you, bless others, and fulfill your purposes for my life. Show me ways I can safely share my home with others. I want to grow in the gift of hospitality. Show me ways I can use my automobile and talents to serve others. Help me find ways I can use all I have to minister to others.
Please guide me in making wise decisions with my resources, and give me a heart of generosity and compassion for those in need. Help me to see others through your eyes and to use my resources to make a positive impact in their lives. Let me steward my time well and not waste so much.
Forgive me for when I have been selfish or wasteful with the blessings you have given me. Please transform my heart and renew my mind so I may use all I have to serve you and advance your kingdom.
Thank you for your provision and for entrusting me with the resources I have. May I use them to bring you honor and glory now and forever.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Acts 20:35 “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
