Prayer for My Child to Have the Eyes of Christ:
Psalm 127:3 “Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.”
Lord, I come to you today to praise you for the child you have given me. This heritage and reward are some of your greatest gifts. I want to lift my child to you as he/she attends school. This journey will have many challenges, but I know you will make the straight path daily.
Jesus, the world can be a dark place. I pray for you to make my child a light in the darkness. Make his/her words and actions be seen as pointing to you, making him/her different. Romans 1:16 tells us not to be ashamed of the gospel. Pour that into the heart of my child. I ask that you give him the boldness and self-confidence to unashamedly proclaim your Word at every turn. Make my child respect the authority of the teachers and all adults in leadership positions in the school. May he be an example of the behavior of a Christ follower.

Lord, I pray my child has the eyes of Christ to see other students who are hurting or lonely. Let him be a friend to the friendless. I pray my child is the peacemaker among the students. Place godly friends in his path. Create a bond among them to make them a force to contend with in the world’s darkness.
Lastly, Lord, I pray you make learning come easily to him. Open his mind to the concepts being taught. I bind all harm that can come from ungodly teachings. Let his mind be able to retain what he reads and hears. Fill his mind with your wisdom and remind him to seek you when he needs it. Provide him with comprehension of the skills and concepts needed to become a productive citizen in the future.
In the faithful name of Jesus, I pray.
Prayer for My Child’s Behavior in School:
2 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
Lord, you have created my child perfectly. You know everything and understand my child’s challenges in every situation. I pray for my child as he/she begins a new school year. I ask that you guide and protect him as he navigates the challenges and opportunities of being a student.
I also want to lift his teachers. Please give them understanding as they work with him and his special needs. I pray that they are firm and understand which teaching methods are best for him. I’m not asking that my child be given a “pass” for his behavior if it is disruptive. I’m asking that his teachers give him grace and knowledge in training him in life skills. Exodus 18:20 20 “Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave.”
Please help my child behave well, be kind and respectful to his teachers and classmates, and always strive to do his best. May he have the discipline, self-control to make good choices, and courage to stand up for what is right.
I pray that he will find joy and fulfillment in his studies and that he will grow and learn in all areas of his life. May he have the confidence and resilience to face any setbacks or challenges that come his way.
We trust in your love and care for my child, and I give you all the praise and glory.
Amen.
Colossians 3:20 “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.”

Prayer to Protect My Child From Any Ungodly Teachings in School:
Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Lord
My heart is heavy with what is happening in some of the classrooms in our nation. There is an assault on our children, exposing them to ungodly material, actions, and cultures. I come to you as a parent who wants to protect his/her child from ungodly school teachings. I know the world can be confusing and difficult, especially for our children, who are still learning and growing.
Lord, I ask you to protect my child from any harmful or ungodly teachings they may encounter in school. Shield his heart and mind from ideologies or philosophies contradicting your truth and teachings. Expose those who plan to cause harm and remove them from all exposure to our children. Mark 9:42 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.”

Give my child a discerning spirit so that he can identify any teachings that are not aligned with your word. Help him to remain steadfast in his faith, even when faced with challenges and opposition. Keep the lines of communication open with my children so they always feel comfortable sharing what they feel is inappropriate with me. Protect my children from peer pressure if peers try to convince my children inappropriate content is normal and acceptable.
I pray for the teachers and educators in my child’s school that your wisdom and love may guide them. May they be positive role models for my child and instill in them values of kindness, respect, and compassion.
Lord, I know I cannot control everything my child is exposed to, but I trust in your unfailing protection and guidance. Thank you for always being with us and watching over us.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”
Prayer for My Child’s Ability to Learn Easily in School:
Proverbs 19:20 “Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.”
Faithful Father
Today I lift my child to you. I thank you for the precious gift of his/her life and for entrusting her to my care. I pray that you bless her with the ability to learn easily and retain knowledge.
Lord, you are the source of all wisdom and knowledge. Your word tells us we have the mind of Christ. I pray that you would pour your wisdom and understanding upon my child so she can grasp concepts quickly and easily. Help her to develop a love for learning and to see the value in education. I pray her school adopts a relevant curriculum that prepares her for her future. I pray my child has a positive attitude toward learning and accepts the full curriculum as preparing her for her career path.

I pray that my child will have the strength and determination to overcome any challenges or obstacles that come her way. May she be encouraged and inspired to pursue her dreams and aspirations.
Lord, I commit my child to your loving care, knowing that you have a plan and a purpose for her life. I trust in your provision and guidance, and I pray that my child will grow in knowledge and wisdom and in her love for you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Prayer to Protect My Child From Bullying at School:
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
Heavenly Father
You know many children today are not being trained in your Word. Our schools are full of children and teens who have no home guidance. I come to you with a heavy heart and a deep concern for my child’s well-being. I am afraid my child may be experiencing bullying at school, and I ask for your protection and guidance during this difficult time.
Please watch over my child and keep him/her safe from harm. Surround him with your shield of protection from the cruel words of a bully. Help him/her feel confident and strong in the face of adversity, and give him/her the courage to stand up for himself and others in similar situations. Lord, lead the leaders in the school to witness and remedy any bullying that is going on, whether it is my child or other children.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”
I pray that any words or actions taken against my child will have no long-term effects. May the Holy Spirit wash my child clean of toxic words and actions he/she has experienced. Remind my child daily that he/she is your unique, wonderful creation.

Please also guide the school administrators, teachers, and counselors to be aware of any bullying that may be happening and to take appropriate action to stop it. Give them the wisdom and compassion to intervene in an effective, compassionate way that supports the well-being of all involved.
I trust in your infinite love and wisdom and know you are always with my child, even in the darkest moments. Thank you for your protection and guidance and for the peace of mind that comes from knowing that my child is safe in your loving care.
Amen.
2 Timothy 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…
Prayer to Help My Child to Find Wholesome Friends in School:
1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
Heavenly Father
You know I have continued to follow your Word in raising my children. My guidance has always been Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” I realize my child is away from me more hours a day while in school than when I have him/her at home. I am standing on your Word that the training my child receives will surround him/her as choices are made. I come to you with a prayer for my child’s friends. I ask that you guide her to find wholesome and supportive friends at school who will uplift and inspire her.

Please surround my child with Christians and help her to attract kind-hearted, compassionate, and fun-loving friends who share her values and interests. May her new friendships be filled with laughter, joy, and mutual respect, and may they bring out the best in each other. May their common bond be the love of Jesus.
I also ask that you give my child the wisdom to discern which friends are wholesome and supportive and which ones may not positively influence her life. Help her to set healthy boundaries and to walk away from any friendships that may be harmful or toxic.
Please bless my child with the gift of true friendship, and may her social life be a source of joy and comfort throughout her school years and beyond.
Thank you for your love, guidance, and unwavering presence in our lives.
Amen.
Proverbs 13:20 “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”
Prayer For My Child to Have a Love for Learning in School:
Proverbs 1:5 “Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance…”
Lord
I come to you with a prayer for my child’s education. I ask that you fill him with a love for learning, a desire to discover, and a thirst for knowledge that will stay with him throughout his life.
Please bless my child with a curious and open mind, a willingness to explore new ideas and concepts, and the courage to ask questions and seek answers. Help him to approach his studies with enthusiasm, joy, and a sense of wonder. I pray this curiosity doesn’t take him into any dark, ungodly area. Guard his heart that he stays within your principles as he explores new areas.
Please also guide his teachers and mentors to inspire and motivate him, create an engaging and supportive learning environment, and help my child realize his full potential. Titus 2:1 “But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.”
May my child’s education be a journey of self-discovery, growth, and empowerment, and may he develop the skills, knowledge, and wisdom he needs to achieve his goals and positively impact the world.
Thank you for your love and guidance and the blessings of education and learning that enrich our lives.
Amen.
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
