Prayer to Stay Focused and Have a Positive Attitude While Job Hunting:

Dear God,
I come to you today as I seek employment. I know you have a plan for me, and I trust your timing and wisdom. Your word tells me that my steps are ordered by you. I fully believe you will guide me in my job search.
Father, please help me to be patient as I wait for the right opportunity to come along. Give me the strength and the courage to persevere, even when things seem difficult or uncertain. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” I am standing firm that you will keep my anxiety level low. Worry shows a lack of faith in what you can do. Lord, I have total faith in your power in might.
As I seek a new job, please help me stay focused and positive. Help me to stay true to my values and always conduct myself with integrity. I bind every attempt of Satan to bring on a spirit of discouragement. When he sends fiery darts my way, I am confident my full armor will deflect his evil plans.
Please open doors for me and guide me to the opportunities that align with your will for my life. Help me be open to new possibilities and flexible in my approach.
As I go through the job search process, please help me to be mindful of others and to treat everyone with kindness and respect. Help me to be a good listener and to communicate clearly and effectively. Continue to mold my teachable spirit.
Above all, please help me to trust in you and to keep my eyes fixed on you as I navigate this journey.

Prayer For Doors to Be Opened for Employment:
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Heavenly Father, I come before you today seeking your guidance and help as I search for employment. I know that you have a plan for my life, and I trust in your provision. I’m asking that doors may be opened and you lead me to those opportunities. I sincerely want a job where my talents are best used and where I can freely practice my faith on a personal level.
Please open doors that align with your will and purpose for my life. Give me the strength and determination to pursue my goals and the wisdom to make good decisions. I pray for the employer you have for me that we may gel in spirit. Touch his/her heart as he prepares my position.
I pray that you would provide for my needs and allow me to use my skills and talents to serve others. May I find fulfillment and joy in my work and be a blessing to those around me.

Faithful Father
You know the desires of my heart and have been faithful through the years. As I begin my job search, I don’t want to settle for just any job. Please grant me the clarity and discernment to know which companies to apply to and which positions align with my skills, values, and career goals.
Help me focus my search on companies that share my values and are committed to positively impacting the world. May I find fulfilling work that provides opportunities for growth and development. Lord, I desire a place of employment that values Christians and doesn’t force behavior that doesn’t align with your word. I speak Jesus over the place of employment that you have for me.
Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Grant me the confidence and courage to pursue positions that may seem challenging or out of my comfort zone, knowing that you will be with me every step of the way. Please guide me towards opportunities that will allow me to use my skills and talents to make a meaningful contribution and to find joy and satisfaction in my work.

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Father,
I need your help; I am anxious about my upcoming job interview. I repent for being fearful, so I am taking it to you and putting it all in your hands. Please grant me the strength and confidence to present myself in the best possible light, showcase my skills, and express my passion for the work I seek. Just as you led Moses and gave him the words to say, I ask that you do the same for me.
Deuteronomy 18:18 “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.”
Lord, please help me overcome any anxiety or nervousness that I may feel and be fully present during the interview. May I speak with clarity, confidence, and conviction, and may my words convey my enthusiasm for the opportunity. Lord, I really want this job and am standing on your word–giving me the desires of my heart.
I pray you are with the interviewer too. Please guide the interviewer to ask questions that will allow me to showcase my strengths and abilities and demonstrate my fit for the position. Grant me favor with the interviewer. May the person and I be like-minded on the job requirements and my skills to fill the position.
I ask that you be with me every step of the way, providing me with the insight and wisdom to respond to questions with thoughtfulness and authenticity. May I be a true representation of myself while also showing the best version of myself.

Your word is very clear on how to ask in prayer. Today I am specific in my prayer. As I await the outcome of my job interview, I ask for your divine ability to secure the job offer I desire, with the salary I am asking for. I am confident that you are able.
Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…”
I am confident in my abilities and qualifications for this position, and I believe it would be a great opportunity to grow personally and professionally. You have blessed me with the skills needed to succeed in this position. You have also planted the word in my heart, which makes me the perfect person for this job.
I ask that you guide the hiring managers to see my value and potential and offer me the job with the salary I am requesting. May they recognize the worth of my skills, experience, and contributions. Lord, you have blessed me financially through the years. I have been faithful with my resources. With a salary increase, I can pour more into your kingdom.

I am asking for your favor when it comes to prospective employers. I’ve prayed over my resume and ask that your anointing falls on it as it is delivered to the decision-makers in various companies. Please make the readers of my resume see it is special and give me the opportunity for an interview. Set me apart with your favor.
Please bless my resume with the skills, experiences, and qualifications the employer seeks. Let my resume catch their attention and make a lasting impression on them. May the employer see that my past work history has prepared me for the job opening.
Help me to remain positive, patient, and persistent during my job search. Give me the wisdom to know which opportunities are right for me and the courage to pursue them. I trust you have a plan for me and ask that you lead me toward the right path.
Father, I am excited that you are faithful to bring this to pass. I am committed to letting my light shine before fellow employees. I will use this new adventure to advance the work of the church. All my faith is in Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
I praise you for your faithfulness to me through the years. It is a step of faith that I feel it is time to change my career path and go into a field that has more opportunities for growth and advancement. My faith is totally in you to find a place of employment where I can grow in my abilities and talents. I come to you today seeking guidance and clarity during this career change in my life. I am grateful for the opportunities that have led me to this point, but now I seek your wisdom to help me make the right decisions for my future.
Lord, I pray that you remove any doubts I have in myself. This is a scary time to leave a field where I have been comfortable and secure. Just as the Israelites were afraid of the unknown, I feel the same as I enter a new job market. I know you will guide, lead, and protect me on this journey as you did when you took the Israelites out of Egypt. I have prayed about this career move and have total peace in my decision, which could only come from you.
As I go through the job search process, I ask that my former employers give me favorable recommendations. Father, you know I have worked hard in all my previous jobs and have strived to be a shining example of a Christian in the marketplace. I pray that any letters of reference I receive reflect my true work habits and integrity.
